Workshops

Lalune is experienced in facilitating a diverse range of workshops and is dedicated to connecting, strengthening and enriching communities through creative expression and collaboration.

Lantern workshops bring out the communities creativity. They are fun and accessible and rewarding for almost every skill level. The mix of construction, design, gluing and decoration engages almost everybody to give it a go. People are encouraged to work in pairs or families to help each other hold the cane in place while it's being secured. All artists are experienced, fully insured and have current blue cards. ​

Lantern Parades

Lantern parades add such a beautiful spectacle to a community event and there is nothing quite like being immersed in a lantern parade. Whether you’re watching the pretty lights, creations and characters or walking the parade, the vibe is electric.

After running workshops with your community, I can then fit torches and lighting to the lanterns and facilitate a Lantern Parade to create that special atmosphere and engagement.  ​

Lantern Installations

Lalune’s love of sculpture and installation has resulted in her management or involvement in a vast array of fun, interactive, immersive, ephemeral, environmental and creative installations.

SITE SPECIFIC INSTALLATIONS  All the lantern pieces created in the workshops are brought together in a beautiful cohesive Installation for the viewing pleasure of the community. The process of community art workshops and public installations creates an instant audience base, community participation and ownership of an event. Some coordination with council may be required depending on the site. ​ ​ ​ ​ ​​ ​
